Cherry Nut Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (5 oz.) jar maraschino cherries, drained and chopped
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1/3 c. Crisco
    3 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    1 tsp. baking powder
    3 c. flour
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. lemon flavoring
    1 c. sweet milk
    1/2 to 3/4 c. nuts
Preparation
    Cream butter and Crisco.
    Add sugar; beat until creamy.
    Add 1 egg at a time, beating well with each addition.
    Add baking powder and flavorings.
    Alternate flour and milk; beat 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in the cherries.
