Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted slowly in saucepan
    3/4 c. milk
    dash of salt
    1 Tbsp. Karo syrup or molasses
    2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Bring to a rolling boil until soft ball forms in cold water (10 to 12 minutes).
    Do not overcook.
    Remove from heat and add 1 teaspoon of vanilla and 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine.
    Stir until creamy smooth (approximately 1 minute).
    Pour into buttered plate.
