Chili - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. hamburger
3/4 c. chopped celery
2 green peppers, chopped
2 medium onions, chopped
3 cans light kidney beans
1 (32 oz.) can tomato juice
2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
4 c. water
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 tsp. garlic
2 Tbsp. chili powder
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Thoroughly brown and drain hamburger and rinse with hot water before adding other ingredients.
Saute celery, green pepper and onion in oil.
Add remaining ingredients.
Simmer over low heat for 35 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Rinse beans before adding to other ingredients.
Makes 12 servings.
