Chocolate Mexicano - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. powdered cocoa
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 c. water
2 (3-inch) cinnamon sticks
6 whole cloves
salt
6 c. milk
2 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine cocoa, brown sugar, water, cinnamon sticks, cloves and a pinch of salt in a pan over medium heat. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; simmer for about 5 minutes.
Add milk to cocoa while whisking constantly.
Keep cocoa just below boiling point. Remove from heat and add vanilla.
Strain to remove spices. Beat or blend until foamy. Serve hot!
