Homemade Sandwich Buns - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 small onion, minced
    1/2 c. plain yogurt or sour cream
    1/2 c. water
    3 to 3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, divided
    1 Tbsp. toasted wheat germ
    1 tsp. granulated sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 pkg. active dry yeast
    1 egg (at room temperature)
    1 c. shredded natural Swiss cheese
Preparation
    Melt butter; saute onion in small saucepan until tender but not browned.
    Add yogurt and water; blend well and heat until very warm, nearly 120\u00b0.
