Pickled Beets - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. vinegar
    4 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. pickling spice
    1 c. water
    2 c. cooked beets, sliced
Preparation
    Scald the vinegar with the sugar and pickling spice.
    Add the water and the beets.
    Cover and let stand at least one day before using.
