Salsa - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    16 c. chopped tomatoes
    1 c. diced green bell pepper
    4 c. chopped onion
    1 c. jalapeno pepper, chopped
    1 c. sugar
    2 1/2 c. white vinegar
    1/3 c. pickling salt
    1 1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
    2 tsp. white pepper
    2 tsp. cumin
    1 tsp. alum
Preparation
    Mix in large kettle; bring to a boil.
    Reduce; simmer 1 1/2 hours, uncovered.
    Stir occasionally.
    Right before 1 1/2 hours are up, bring to boil again and put in jars and seal.
    Store in cool place.
