Malacca Chicken - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 lb. chicken
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. salt
1 chicken bouillon cube
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1 c. boiling water
1/4 c. soy sauce
1 clove garlic, mashed
4 to 5 large whole potatoes, peeled
Preparation

Clean and truss the chicken.
Rub it all over with a mixture of the combined spices and salt.
Brown the chicken in oil in a large pot.
To the pot, add chicken cube, boiling water, soy sauce and garlic.
Cover and simmer for 1 hour, basting occasionally. Add the potatoes to the pot.
Simmer and baste until the potatoes are done.
