Cherry Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    4 eggs, beaten
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 can cherry pie filling
    1/2 c. walnuts, chopped (optional)
    10x sugar
Preparation
    Cream butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar until fluffy.
    Add eggs and flour; beat well.
    Add vanilla.
    Pour into 15 x 10-inch pan (greased).
    Score batter into 24 squares.
    Add 3 cherries to each square.
    Top with walnuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
