Cheese Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. thinly sliced carrots
    1/2 c. thinly sliced celery
    1 c. water
    2 Tbsp. chopped onions
    1/4 c. butter
    6 Tbsp. flour
    2 c. milk
    2 c. chicken broth
    1/2 lb. diced sharp cheese
Preparation
    Cook carrots and celery in water until tender; do not drain. Cook onions in butter until tender.
    Stir in flour, then milk and broth over low heat.
    Stir in cheese, vegetables and water.
    Do not overcook or boil.
    Makes 6 cups.
