Beef Barbecue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (4 to 5 lb.) beef brisket
    salt and pepper
    1 medium onion, diced
    5 cloves garlic, minced
    2 c. K. C. Masterpiece barbecue sauce (hickory or mesquite)
    1/4 c. white vinegar
    1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. liquid smoke
Preparation
    In large Dutch oven, sear meat on all sides over high heat. Reduce heat.
    Add water to cover meat.
    Add onion and garlic. Bring to a boil, then lower heat and simmer, covered, for 2 hours. Remove meat and reserve pan juices.
