Tamale Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 c. chopped pepper
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    1 (12 oz.) can whole kernel corn, drained
    dash of pepper
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 clove garlic
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. chili powder
    1/2 c. chopped olives
    3/4 c. yellow cornmeal
    2 c. cold water
Preparation
    Cook meat, onion and green pepper in skillet until meat is lightly browned and vegies are tender.
    Stir in tomato sauce, corn, olives, garlic, sugar, 1 teaspoon salt, chili powder and pepper. Simmer 20 to 25 minutes, until thick.
    Add cheese, stir until melted.
    Turn into greased 9 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
    Stir cornmeal and 1/2 teaspoon salt into cold water.
    Cook, stirring constantly, until thick.
    Add butter or margarine, mix well.
    Spoon over hot meat mixture.
    Bake in 375\u00b0 oven about 40 minutes.
    Makes 6 servings.
