10 Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    variety pkg. beans
    large onion
    1 pod red pepper
    1 large can tomatoes
    1 tsp. chili powder
    juice of 1 lemon
    salt
Preparation
    Wash beans.
    Place in large kettle; cover with water and add 2 tablespoons salt.
    Soak overnight.
    In the morning, drain and add quart of water, ham or pork hock and bring to boil.
    Simmer slowly 2 1/2 or 3 hours.
    May have to add more water.
    To this, add onion, tomatoes, red pepper chili powder, lemon juice and salt.
    Simmer another 30 minutes.
    Good with corn bread.
