Peanut Butter Blossoms - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 egg
2 Tbsp. milk
2 Tbsp. vanilla
1/4 c. granulated sugar (for rolling cookies)

Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening.
Beat egg and add to milk, vanilla and peanut butter.
Add to creamed mixture.
Add flour, baking soda and salt.
Shape dough into balls and roll in granulated sugar.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes on greased cookie sheet. Top with candy kisses as soon as they come out of oven.
Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
