Fried Sweet Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 medium sweet potatoes
    salt to taste
    oil or shortening for frying
Preparation
    Peel potatoes, slice and 1/4-inch thick.
    In large iron skillet, put enough oil to fry potatoes.
    Place potatoes in hot oil, a few at a time.
    Fry like French fries; some will puff up. Most will float when done.
    Cook to a golden brown.
    May need turning.
    Good when sprinkled with powdered sugar or syrup poured over them.
