Banana Split Dessert - cooking recipe
Ingredients

graham cracker crumbs
2 or 3 bananas
1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. butter
2 c. powdered sugar
1 c. evaporated milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pt. whipping cream
Preparation

Cover bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan with cracker crumbs.
Reserve one cup for later.
Slice bananas into rounds and layer over crust.
Slice ice cream into one inch thick slices and place over bananas.
Sprinkle nuts on ice cream.
Freeze until firm.
Melt chocolate chips and butter.
Add powdered sugar and evaporated milk.
Cook until thick stirring constantly.
Remove from heat; add vanilla.
Cool.
Pour over ice cream and freeze until firm. Whip cream stiff.
Spread over chocolate layer and top with crumbs.
Store in freezer.
Remove 10 minutes before serving.
