Favorite Hot Chocolate - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/4 c. plus 1 Tbsp. cocoa
dash of salt
1 qt. milk
1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. hot water
3/4 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Combine dry ingredients in saucepan.
Blend in water.
Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly; boil and stir 2 minutes.
Add milk; stir and heat.
Do not boil.
Remove from heat.
Add vanilla; beat with rotary beaters until foamy.
Makes 1 quart.
