Chocolate Chip Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. shortening
    1/3 c. butter, softened
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. butterscotch morsels
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Combine shortening, butter, sugars, egg and vanilla; mix well. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
    Pour into an ungreased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Cut into 1 1/2-inch squares.
    Yields about 4 1/2 dozen.
