Old Fashioned Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. cubed beef chuck
    4 c. boiling water
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 clove garlic
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 to 2 bay leaves
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. paprika
    dash of allspice or cloves
    carrots
    potatoes
Preparation
    Mix together and put in crock-pot on high for 1 hour.
    Then cook on low for 5 to 6 hours.
    Remove bay leaves and garlic. Thicken as desired.
