Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/4 c. sifted flour
3 Tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. Crisco
3 unbeaten eggs
1 tsp. soda
1/2 c. milk
1 c. boiling water
Preparation

Sift together flour, cocoa and salt; set aside.
Add sugar gradually to Crisco, creaming well.
Blend in the unbeaten eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
Combine soda with milk; add gradually to creamed mixture, beating well.
Add dry ingredients all at once.
Mix until well blended.
Stir in boiling water until blended.
Bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan in 350\u00b0 oven for 35 to 40 minutes (15 minutes for cupcakes).
Do not overbake as this is a moist cake.
