French Apple Pie Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. peeled, sliced apples
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    3/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    1/2 c. milk
    3 Tbsp. water
    1/2 c. melted butter
Preparation
    Put apples in a buttered 9-inch deep pie plate.
    Mix 1/2 cup sugar with cinnamon and sprinkle over the apples.
    Sift next 4 ingredients into a bowl.
    Add last four ingredients and mix batter smooth.
    Pour over the apples.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes until done.
