Cold Oven Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Crisco
    1 stick butter
    3 c. sugar
    3 c. cake flour
    6 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. almond flavoring
Preparation
    Cream Crisco and butter 5 minutes.
    Add sugar slowly and eggs, one at a time.
    Add flour and buttermilk alternately.
    Add salt, baking powder and flavorings.
    Pour into greased and floured tube pan.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours.
    Cool 30 minutes before taking out of pan.
    Grease bottom only of cake pans to allow cake to rise.
