Fresh Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 fresh apples
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 lb. raisins
    1 c. walnuts, chopped
    4 tsp. baking soda
    pinch of ginger
    3/4 c. butter
    4 c. flour
Preparation
    According to size of apples, process enough to produce 2 1/2 cups of applesauce.
    In hot applesauce add soda and then butter. Add sugar and remaining ingredients, stir well.
    In a 13 x 9-inch baking pan, bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until cake tester comes out clean.
    This is a large cake.
