Strawberry Short Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/3 c. shortening
1 egg
2/3 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Measure and sift dry ingredients.
Blend in the egg and milk. Bake in a hot oven at 400\u00b0 for about 20 minutes.
Split cake and spread with butter.
Sweeten strawberries to taste and put between and on top of shortcake.
Garnish with whipped cream.
