Smothered Pork Chops - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. pork chops, cut thick
2 unpeeled lemons, sliced
1 large sweet onion, cut in rings
1 green pepper, cut in rings
1 tsp. salt
2 c. tomato juice
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation

Put chops in a large covered skillet and cover the top of meat with lemon, onion and pepper.
Sprinkle with salt.
Pour the tomato juice over all and dot with butter.
Cover and cook on top of stove for 1 1/2 hours or until done.
Lift on a hot platter, being careful to keep the rings in place.
Serves 6 to 8.
