Louisiana Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white granulated sugar
    1 c. evaporated milk
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 or 2 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. chopped pecans
    2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Place 2 cups sugar and milk in a large saucepan.
    Cook slowly, stirring often.
    At the same time, put other cup of sugar in another pan on low heat; stir until melted.
    Pour slowly into the milk and sugar that should be ready to boil; stir while adding. Cook slowly until a firm ball forms in cold water (238\u00b0).
    Set off heat.
