Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter
    2 c. sugar
    5 large eggs
    2 (scant) c. flour
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Set out butter to soften for 15 minutes.
    Cream together the butter and sugar.
    Add eggs, beating 1 minute after adding each egg.
    Add flour, vanilla and lemon juice.
    Beat until well blended.
    Bake in cold oven at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Do not open oven door while cooking.
