Aplets - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 envelopes Knox gelatine
    1/2 c. cold applesauce
    3/4 c. hot unsweetened applesauce
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. finely chopped walnuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Soak gelatine in 1/2 cup cold applesauce for about 10 minutes. Add to hot applesauce and sugar.
    Cook over low heat, stirring until quite thick, about 20 minutes.
    Add walnuts and vanilla. Spread in a greased 8 x 8-inch pan and let stand overnight.
    Cut in squares and roll in powdered sugar.
