Caramel Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box German chocolate cake mix
    3/4 c. margarine, melted
    1/3 c. evaporated milk
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 small bag caramels
    water or milk
    6 oz. bag chocolate chips
Preparation
    Mix cake mix, margarine, milk and pecans.
    Press 1/2 of this mixture into a 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes. While this bakes, melt caramels with a small amount of water or milk to make easier to spread.
    Pour caramel mixture over baked portion of brownie mixture.
    Pour chocolate chips over caramels. Sprinkle other 1/2 of brownie mixture over this and bake for 20 minutes.
    Cut into squares and place on platter.
