Unstuffed Cabbage - cooking recipe
Ingredients

12 oz. lean ground beef
1 c. chopped onions
1/2 medium size head green cabbage
1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
1 Tbsp. packed light brown sugar
1 Tbsp. vinegar
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Crumble beef into a 4 to 5-quart Dutch oven.
Add onions; cook over medium heat for 5 to 6 minutes.
Quarter and core cabbage. Cut crosswise into 1-inch strips.
You should have about 8 cups. Add to meat mixture.
Cover and cook over medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes, until the cabbage wilts.
Stir in tomatoes, sugar, vinegar and salt.
Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender.
