Mexican Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 bunches green onions or 1 large onion
    1 large bell pepper
    1/2 stick oleo
    salt and pepper (go easy)
    1 lb. freshly ground beef or ground chuck
    3 buttons garlic, minced fine
    1 large can hominy (can use regular size if desired)
    1 can chili without beans
    1 can mushroom soup
    2 c. grated cheese
    1 small bag corn chips
Preparation
    Chop onions and pepper.
    Saute in oleo until transparent.
    Add ground beef or chuck; cook, but do not brown.
    Combine with beef and onions all other ingredients, except cheese and corn chips. Mix well.
    Pour into casserole dish at least 2-inches deep.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes (15 to 18 minutes in microwave and covered).
    Add cheese and corn chips.
    Place in oven again until cheese has melted well.
    Can run under broiler to brown.
