Cocoa-Nut Layer Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa
1/2 c. boiling water
1 3/4 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/3 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. finely chopped pistachio nuts or walnuts
1 c. heavy cream
Preparation

In a small bowl, mix cocoa with boiling water.
Cool completely.
Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease and flour 3 (8-inch) pans; set aside.
