Onion Cheese Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large sweet onion
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1 (8 1/2 oz.) corn muffin mix
    1/3 c. milk
    1 egg, beaten
    1 small can cream-style corn
    1 c. sour cream
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
Preparation
    Peel and slice onion.
    Cook in butter until tender.
    In a bowl, combine muffin mix, egg, milk and corn.
    Turn this into a greased 8-inch square pan.
    When onion is tender, add sour cream, salt and 1/2 cup cheese to it.
    Spread this mixture over batter. Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Cut into squares and serve warm.
    Makes about 6 to 8 servings.
