Never Fail Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 egg, beaten
3 Tbsp. shortening (Crisco)
5 Tbsp. water
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Mix ingredients together into soft dough; roll out on floured surface and let dry 20 minutes. Cut into strips. Drop in boiling broth and chicken and cook slowly for about 1 hour.
