Blond Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. shortening or butter
    2 1/4 c. brown sugar
    3 eggs
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Melt shortening in a saucepan. Add brown sugar. Stir until mixed. Cool slightly. Add eggs, one at a time.
    Beat well after each. Add dry ingredients, nuts and chips.
    Pour in greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
