Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 head lettuce
    1 c. chopped onions
    1 c. green peas
    1 c. bell pepper, chopped
    1 c. celery, chopped
    1/2 head lettuce
    2 c. mayonnaise
    2 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    In a large bowl, layer 1/2 head lettuce, then onions, peas, pepper and celery.
    Mix remaining 1/2 head lettuce, mayonnaise and sugar.
    Layer on top of celery. Top with grated cheese and bacon bits.
    Seal. Refrigerate 24 hours.
