Butter Biscuits For Coffee - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    4 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. almonds, blanched and chopped
Preparation
    Prepare:
    Sift flour with baking powder.
    Beat butter on high speed until fluffy (15 to 20 minutes).
    Add sugar and continue beating for another 15 to 20 minutes.
    Beat eggs; add vanilla. Pour into batter mixture.
    Add flour, little by little, then by hand work the mixture.
    Add almonds.
    (Dough will be soft.)
    Shape into cookie shapes.
    Put in buttered pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
