Polenta (Italian Corn Meal Dish) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. yellow corn meal
    1 qt. boiling water, salted
    2 Tbsp. butter
    3 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Add corn meal gradually to boiling water; cook, stirring frequently, for 30 minutes or until thickened.
    Add butter and mix well.
    Pour onto platter and shape into a ring.
    Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
    Tomato sauce with meat or chicken cacciatore can be spooned into center of ring.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
