Christmas Trees - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. margarine
    32 large marshmallows
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/2 tsp. green food coloring
    4 c. Cheerios
    small gumdrops, sliced
Preparation
    Melt margarine and marshmallows in saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in vanilla and food coloring.
    Pour over cereal in large bowl; mix to coat.
    Shape warm mixture 2/3 cup at a time into Christmas trees on waxed paper with buttered hands.
    Decorate with gumdrops to represent tree ornaments; add paper stars for tops.
    Let stand until cool. Yield;
    3 dozen.
