Sausage Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. smoked sausage
    1 lb. beef chuck
    1 large onion
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1 green bell pepper
    1 red bell pepper
    2 cans kidney beans
    1 tsp. basil
    2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    2 beef cubes
    1 c. boiling water
    4 medium potatoes, quartered
Preparation
    Cook sausage (in bite-size pieces) and beef chuck in 1-inch pieces in 2 tablespoons melted shortening.
    Place in a casserole. Cook onion in fat until transparent.
    Add peppers and cook 1 minute longer.
    Add remaining ingredients and mix lightly.
    Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until beef and potatoes are tender.
