Cinnamon Apples - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. cinnamon candies (red hots)
5 or 6 Stayman or Winesap apples
Preparation

In saucepan, place 1 cup water and 1/2 cup cinnamon candies (red hots).
Cook together until candies are completely dissolved. Peel and cut 5 or 6 apples into 8 wedges.
Put apples into the syrup and gently simmer for 4 minutes.
Remove from heat and let the apples cool in syrup.
Refrigerate, leaving apples in syrup until serving.
Makes 1 dozen.
