Microwave Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. (18 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1 c. (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
    1/3 c. powdered sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped walnut pieces (optional)
Preparation
    Butter an 8-inch square pan. Microwave chips and milk uncovered in microwavable bowl on High for 2 minutes. Stir until smooth. Stir in sugar and vanilla, then walnuts (optional) until well blended.
    Pour into prepared pan.
    Spread evenly.
    Chill until firm (about 1 1/2 hours).
    Cut into squares. Store in cool place.
