Sweet And Sour Red Cabbage - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 large head red cabbage
half stick of oleo
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 c. red currant jelly
Preparation

Chop red cabbage in thin strips.
In a big pot, brown the oleo.
Add cabbage and stir until it is covered with oleo.
Add the vinegar, salt and sugar.
Cover tightly and cook about 1 1/2 hours, stirring now and then.
Add jelly, and if mixture looks dry, add a couple tablespoons of water.
Serve with roast pork, goose or duck.
