Beer Brisket - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. beef brisket, trimmed of fat
    Salt
    Pepper
    1 c. thinly sliced onion
    3/8 c. chili sauce
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    2 tsp. minced garlic
    12 oz. can of beer
    3 Tbsp. flour
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 300\u00b0.
    Season meat with salt and pepper and place in a roasting pan.
    Top with onion.
    Combine chili sauce with sugar, garlic and 1 cup beer; pour over meat.
    Bake covered 4 1/2 to 5 hours.
    Uncover and bake 30 minutes longer, basting occasionally.
    Remove beef; let stand 10 to 15 minutes.
    Slice 1/4 inch thick across the grain.
    Degrease the cooking liquid.
    Add water (or beef bouillon) if needed to equal 1 cup.
    Blend flour and remaining 1/2 cup beer.
    Add to cooking liquid.
    Adjust seasoning to taste.
    Simmer until thick.
    Serve sauce on the side. Serves 8-10.
