Creamed Corn - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 ears corn
3/4 c. boiling water
2/3 c. milk
3 Tbsp. bacon drippings
2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
3/4 tsp. sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
3 Tbsp. water
1 1/2 tsp. margarine
Preparation

Cut corn off cob and scrape cob.
In a saucepan, add corn, water, milk, bacon drippings, salt and pepper.
Bring slowly to a boil.
Reduce heat, cover and cook for 10 minutes or until tender. Stir occasionally.
Mix flour and water until smooth.
Stir into corn.
Cook 1 minute or until thickened.
Add margarine.
Serves 6.
