Sunny Silver Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. cold water
    1/2 Tbsp. Knox gelatine
    grated rind of 1/2 lemon
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. whipping cream
    4 eggs
    3 Tbsp. lemon juice
    few grains of salt
Preparation
    Set
    gelatine
    in cold water to soak.
    Place 4 egg yolks in
    a bowl.
    Add lemon juice and rind of 1/2 lemon and 1/2 cup sugar. Place
    in a pan of boiling water, stirring until light, thick
    and creamy.
    Remove
    from
    fire, but keep in hot water. Add the gelatine and mix well.
    Add salt to egg whites and beat until stiff.
    Add 1/2 cup sugar and mix well.
    Fold egg whites into cooked
    mixture.
    Pour
    into a baked pie shell.
    Place in icebox several hours.
    Serve with whipped cream.
