Lemonade - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. finely grated lemon peel
    water
    1 1/2 c. lemon juice (8 to 10 lemons)
    ice cubes
    club soda (optional)
Preparation
    Into 1-quart jar with tight fitting lid, put sugar and lemon peel; add 1 1/2 cups very hot water.
    With lid fitted firmly, shake jar until sugar is dissolved.
    Add lemon juice. Refrigerate.
