Microwave Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large cucumber, sliced in 1/4-inch rounds (2 c.), small or slender cucumbers work better
    1 medium onion, sliced in thin rounds (3/4 c.)
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. distilled white vinegar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. mustard seed
    1/4 tsp. celery seed
    1/4 tsp. turmeric (if desired)
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients in a 2-quart microwave-safe bowl.
    Cook on High for 7 to 8 minutes, stirring twice, until cucumbers are crisp-tender and onions are transparent.
