German Potato Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 1/2 lbs. or 10 medium potatoes
1 cup chopped onions
1/2 lb. bacon, diced
2 Tbsp. flour
1/4 cup sugar
2 Tbsp. margarine
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 cup sour cream
chopped parsley
1 cup water
Preparation

Cook potatoes in salted water, 25-30 minutes or until tender. Peel and slice.
Add onion.
In large skillet, fry bacon.
Drain. Return 1/4 cup fat to skillet.
Stir flour, sugar, margarine, salt, and pepper into skillet.
Add vinegar and 1 cup of water. Bring to boil, stirring.
Remove from heat and add sour cream. Add potatoes, onions, half of bacon, stirring gently.
Sprinkle with rest of bacon and parsley.
Serve hot or cold.
Makes 10 servings.
