Quick Beef Minestrone - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. lean ground beef or turkey
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    2 cans beef or chicken broth
    1 can (20 oz.) cannellini beans
    1 can (16 oz.) tomatoes, broken up
    1 bay leaf
    1 tsp. basil
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 large pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
    grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    In large saucepan, saute meat, onion and garlic; drain off fat. Add broth, beans, tomatoes, bay leaf, basil and pepper; simmer 10 minutes.
    Add 1 cup macaroni (elbow or shells, small) and bring to a boil; simmer 10 minutes.
    Add vegetables; cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes.
    Serve piping hot, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
